Friedrich Waismann (1896-1959), österreichischer Mathematiker, Physiker und Philosoph. Hauptwerke sind Einführung in das mathematische Denken. Die Begriffsbildung der modernen Mathematik (1936), The Principles of Linguistic Philosophy (1965) und How I See Philosophy (1968). Seine Forschungsgebiete waren Philosophie der Mathematik, Sprachphilosophie und Erkenntnistheorie.
