John Turner (1947-2011), britischer Sozialpsychologe und Professor für Sozialpsychologie an der Universität von Bristol. Hauptwerke sind Social Identity Theory: Psychological Studies in the Nature of Intergroup Relations (1981), Self-Categorization Theory: Social Psychology of the Individual Mind (1985, gemeinsam mit Henri Tajfel verfasst) und Rediscovering the Social Group: A Self-Categorization Theory of Social Cognition (1994).
